Just like I talked about last week with Shopify’s new partnership with YouTube, content marketing is going to be HUGE moving into the tail end of this year.

So today, I’m giving away a gem:

The current strategy I’m using for Limitless to run Livestreams on TikTok.

How to Setup and Run Livestreams

Step #1 - Order the Product

Obviously, you’re going to need the product before you can start running livestreams with it.

Before you begin, make sure you have the product on hand. If you’re an affiliate, make sure you have either ordered it already or have requested a free sample if you’re working for somebody.

Step #2 - Setting Up Your TikTok Live

There are two different ways you could decide to run your live. You could use the organic method, or just choose to show the product.

The organic method is exactly what it sounds like.

Your Livestream looks like an organic video.

Just prop up the phone in front of you and speak about the product. You can have any background, it’s not a huge deal.

That’s the organic method.

The other method is simply just showing the product.

Put your product on display, and place a whiteboard in the back with an eye catching phrase written on it. You can include a discount code in the background, put that there is a sale going, or really anything to hook attention.

Now, it’s important to remember…

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS keep movement in the live stream!

You do not want it to be still or else TikTok will ban the page.

Step #3 - Writing Scripts

I say “script”, but for Livestreams, it’s more of just a document you can refer to that gives you your key talking points.

At Limitless, I typically give my creators two different options.

Option #1:

Make roughly 5-10 scripts that you can use and just repeat over and over again.

People do not stay in lives for a long time, so you can easily repeat the script without it seeming boring for them.

Option #2:

Make a quick notes app and write the benefits and how it helps you.

That’s it for the major strategy points, but here are a few more tips and resources to make sure you crush TikTok lives for your brand.

Extra Notes

  • If you have something else to watch TikTok with, watch your live and interact with yourself (liking/commenting)

  • If you don't get above 10 viewers in the first 10 minutes, restart live and try again, or go live with a different account. I recommend having around 5 other accounts that you can rotate consistently.

  • You’re a marketer, SELL THE PRODUCT. People buy from people they like so also don't be a dick lol

  • Post a video before you go live + watch the live fyp feed for 5-10 min

Tips To Increase Conversions

  • Scarcity – Leverage the use of “llimited sales” or “limited quantity”.

  • Urgency – Mention things like: “3 people checking out right now” … “2 people just bought the product” … “5 people are viewing the product right now”... Create some form of urgency. Show that people are buying the product and are interested.

  • Pin Method – Pin messages like “I just bought the product” or any positive reinforcement that will cause more people to buy.

  • Mention Savings & Discounts – Say things like: “Each one you buy, you save $80”. Mention discounts and savings, but avoid stating the price directly.

  • The Free Shipping Method – Even if the product isn’t free shipping, say “add it to your cart to see if you are eligible for free shipping”

Content marketing isn’t rocket science, so it’s important to keep it as simple as possible for yourself and your creators.
