Metaverse company develops immortality with live forever mode πŸ’€

The CEO of Somnium space, Artur Sychov, is developing a way for people to talk to their loved ones - even after they pass away! Yes, you heard that correctly. 'Live forever' mode will allow you to have your special moments stored as data.

How did he come up with this idea?

Sychov had a dream that people could speak to their dead loved ones whenever they wanted. Basically, he watched Transcendence with Johnny Depp 🀣. Sychov believes the conversations and interactions will be so realistic that you will forget you're talking to AI!

How will VR & AR change humankind?

With teams like Somnium building the Metaverse with VR & AR technology, they are essentially building a world inside of a world. Even now, many people would rather stay online than go outside. We are going through a lot of changes. On the other hand,

with VR & AR, the number of ideas that can be brought to life is endless. Collecting data from previous people's history allows the AI to generate simulated versions, it's up to you whether you think this is a good or bad thing, but it's happening. Who would you want to talk to?

Serial rug puller gets exposed for marketing? 🧐

The serial rug-puller behind the Balloonsville rug pull in February, and Doodled Dragons rug pull in January has popped up once again, this time associated with a Solana NFT project called Reptilian Renegades.

Hydra Launchpad had recently announced they would be adding the Reptilian Renegades to their ecosystem. Funny enough, they were also the ones to expose the project team member, who went by "Fuopist".

Reptilian Renegade was still able to get the project posted on Magic Eden after not providing the correct identification that could've avoided the rug. Because Magic Eden wanted their 5% royalties on the mint so bad that they didn't double-check, leading people to have their money invested in a scam project.

What was Fuopist's game plan?

He wanted to "help" Hydra Launchpad launch their own NFTs and further with the connection with Reptilian Renegades to exploit Magic Eden. However, the devs didn't just give in. After a long 4-hour conversation, Fuopist slipped and gave them his Identity, and they decided to use it to expose him and trick him to doxx himself. Since then, Magic Eden disabled sales for Reptilian Renegade due to concerns. The price went from an ATH floor price of 24 SOL to 6 SOL.

Hydra claimed that they had been able to take control of the project's mint authority and cut off Fuopist from receiving further proceeds from the project.

Was this a marketing strategy?

Some say this is a marketing strategy because of how they went about it. It would be ironic if they did all of this and rugged a future project(NO FUD INTENDED, or maybe they're just some real ones looking out for the community. This leaves us to question, was this all just a marketing plan? If it was, it worked. We're now talking about it, haha. And how much trust can we put into a project? Some see millions of dollars in volume, and at the end of the day, they are just people that get greedy. Once the temptations are there, they could be hard to resist.

OpenSea Introducing Seaport😳

OpenSea has announced the launch of a Web3 marketplace protocol for "safely and efficiently buying and selling NFTs."

This is how it works, say you own a 40Ξ Doodle, and you want a 100Ξ ape. You can offer your doodle NFT and 60Ξ, and once the matching assets are deposited, the trade then happens!

So instead of trading x=y, you can now trade x+z=y

Seaport users can also specify which criteria they want when making offers, such as certain traits on NFT artwork or pieces part of a collection. The platform will also support tipping if the amount does not exceed that of the original offer.

Why is this major for the NFT space?

Other tools such as SudoSwap are currently offering what Seaport plans to have. However, Seaport will be integrated right on Opensea. The largest NFT marketplace will now allow users to swap NFTs as long as the assets requested are matched! To improve user experience, Seaport fulfills a highly requested act by the NFT community.

Beeple phishing hackβš”οΈ

A celebrity in the NFT space with over 600k followers had his Twitter hacked!

The attackers lure users with a Louis Vuitton phishing link to mint NFTs on the attacker's website. Hacked accounts posting phishing links are widespread in the NFT community. Today it happened to be Beeple, who's famous for selling his $60M NFT back in 2021. It never hurts to double-check your facts. How many people do you think bought one of those NFTs?
