✅ A Free Checklist to use when Researching a good investment!

It's time for a bit of spring cleaning. 🧹

If you haven't already tightened up your investments, now's the moment before the crash to go over your portfolio and see what you want to keep or drop. 

In this market, finding a winning project could feel like catching a falling knife on fire, and gravity is 10x stronger. 

Things can go to zero fast. 📉

And as a responsible investor, you must have a strategy for a better chance of picking tokens that yield profit. 

To make things easier. 

Here's a checklist to see if a token is worth holding. 👇

If a project doesn't hit any of these, it's a red flag. 🚩

Revenue ✔️: Projects are businesses, and when hype fades, only fundamentals remain. 

These are the ways that protocols generate fees:

• Interest

• Swapping

• Liquidation

• Bridging

• GameFi Mechanics

If they aren't making money, it's hard to survive. 

Treasury ✔️: It costs money to run a protocol, paying for software, salaries, devs, and marketing. It could be a hassle if they don't have funds locked.  

1. How much is in the treasury, and is it diversified? You never want the treasury to be composed of 1 token, just in case it crashes. 

2. What are their expenses? (Software, salaries, devs, marketing).

3. How much runway do they have? 

Cash is like food to a business. 🍔

Utility ✔️: Use cases for the token. Look at the roadmap and whitepaper to understand what the project wants to accomplish. It shows how serious they are if they're hitting deadlines on time. 

Questions to ask yourself:

1. Why does this token exist?

2. What does it do better than its competitors? (Game, Meme, Art, DeFi)

3. What problem does it solve? (Do they solve gas issues, innovate utility, create a new narrative or push the community forward?) 

Lack of utility will be a lack of long-term interest from investors. 

Team ✔️: The team building the project is everything.

Knowing who's behind the product gives the community confidence that they won't abandon ship without repercussions. These are also the people in control of maintaining the community. 

When looking at a project, ask yourself: 

1. Are the project founders doxxed?

2. Are the founders reputable?

3. Is there active communication with the community?

Investors ✔️: Venture capital money and celebrity endorsements are always a great sign a project will survive in the bear market. However, they shouldn't be the primary signal since we've seen 3AC fold their money. 

But, it's also rare to see a project get abandoned when they get a $200M investment. 

⚜️ Golden Nugget: Having a framework to use when researching is a crucial step to stepping up your investing. If you have no plan, you might as well start gambling.

🔮 The future of NFT ticketing

Ticketmaster is now letting event organizers create NFTs on Flow blockchain, and the slow onboarding of millions of new users into Web3 begins! 🎟

People will be able to transform their IRL experience through digital collectibles. Bringing NFTs in a new direction beyond just jpegs of apes off molly. 

🧍‍♂️ Fact: Ticketmaster has already minted 5M+ NFTs on Flow 

Industries that will incorporate NFTs into their current business model 😳: 

• Sports games 

• Concerts 

• Movies 

Incorporating will prevent 🙅‍♂️: 

• Fake tickets 

• Surplus of tickets/people since every NFT is unique (the Travis Scott concert incident was due to people sneaking in via poor organization and tracking of tickets). 

• 3rd parties that take a majority of the profits. 

Now, if someone buys an NFT ticket to the NBA finals, where Shaq, Curry, Lebron, Harden and Pippen are versus aliens trying to take over the world, that game would be legendary. And would give value to holding it. 

⚜️ Golden Nugget: This creates a new opportunity for fans to profit on the secondary market from events they've attended or have something to keep for sentimental purposes.
