🍎 APPLE TAKES A LOSS

You can’t spell Apple without L, which Apple just took in a recent lawsuit Vs. Epic Games

What Happened with Apple? The US Court of Appeals has ruled that Apple’s 30% tax on NFT transactions within its App Store was anti-competitive and violated California’s Unfair Competition Law.

This landmark ruling was part of a re-evaluation of a lawsuit brought by Epic Games against Apple in 2020, which claimed that the tech giant had a monopoly on the mobile game market.

What does this mean? This ruling could have significant implications for NFT and crypto builders, as it allows for the use of cryptocurrency in app-related transactions, which Apple's policies previously prohibit.

If Apple does not appeal or the ruling is upheld again, NFT developers can use NFTs to unlock unique features in iOS apps, increasing the accessibility of NFT-powered apps for the mainstream audience.

Fun Fact: It is said that 52% of the gaming industry is mobile, with revenue in the mobile games market projected to reach $286.5 Billion in 2023.

How Does This Affect You? As barriers in the Mobile Industry continue to fall, your ability to make money in Web3 increases.

 Yuga Labs is known for being bulletproof in terms of information leaks.

However, they have just thrown us a bone regarding how Otherdeeds will affect the Upcoming Legends of the Mara event.

What New Info Did Yuga Leak? Yuga Leaked 2 Key pieces of information.

➡️ Environment Tiers, showcased by the dots on the top of the plot card, dictate the

number of workers that can be allocated to an Otherdeed

Workers include Kodas, Kodamaras, Farmer Maras, and Hunter Maras.

➡️ A Koda can be assigned as a Hunter, Farmer, or Enchanter on any given Otherdeed.

This means each role will likely have specific tasks or abilities unavailable to the other roles, emphasizing the need for plots with multiple Environment Tiers.

P.S: Enchanters don't affect role capacity. More info on this will be released later in the LoTM Litepaper, which is TBA.

What is Legends of the Mara (LoTM)? LoTM is a collection-based 2D strategy game experience with its own companion collection, the Vessels. This is the next chapter in the Otherside storyline, taking place right where the Otherside Second Trip Left off.

TLDR: Each Vessel is occupied by a Shade, which will hatch into a “Mara” that, depending on its type–Enchanter, Farmer, or Hunter–will provide service to its respective Otherdeed

WTF is Koda? One of the main focuses for LoTM is Kodas.
