🧠Learning from Cathie Wood Selling 1,400,000 Coinbase shares for a loss.

Cathie Wood & Ark's "Strategy" 😅

They were Coinbase's third largest shareholders, owning roughly 8.95M shares at the end of June. Ark has been buying Coinbase stock since its release on the NASDAQ. Dollar-cost averaging since all-time highs at $400, their most recent purchase being half a million shares in May when $COIN was ~$100.

This was also when they signaled to everyone to buy the stock in hopes of pumping their bags. Know what happened next?

That same month the price almost halved, going to ~$66.

Part of the plan?📍

On Tuesday, Coinbase was down 21.08%, trading at $52.93. When Ark sold the shares, it totalled roughly $75M.

Bruh. These guys said f*** it. APE! And put over half a billion into this trade with (from what it seems like) ZERO plan. LOL. If buying at the top and selling at the bottom was the goal. Mission success 😹🤝

The beauty of all this 💭

Ok, all jokes aside. Even after Cathie Woods shilled Coinbase and sold for a loss. This is a reminder to:

• Make a plan, then trade the plan.

• Set Stop Losses

• Don't blindly follow someone else's trade.

• Look into Coinbase and see if its time to buy the dip ;)

📺 Coinbase releases its first movie featuring BAYC. How Web3 will revolutionize the Film Industry.

Even though their stock is performing poorly, they released the first part of their movie called "RUN THE CHAIN" of "The Degen Trilogy", which features several Bored Apes and Web3 references.

When I first watched it caught me off guard. The writing wasn't as cringe as I thought, and the animation was beyond expectation. We gave this mini-movie a 9.3/10.

In the past, films were typically financed by a few investors, giving them control over the project.

But with Web3, crowdfunding and cryptocurrency make it possible to finance projects.

Allowing a more comprehensive range of people to invest in films giving them a direct say in what's made. This will breed WAY more new ideas, and maybe we'll stop seeing the same 5 movies being made.

Distribution 🌎

Currently, films are distributed through a single server, which can be inefficient. Web3 will allow for films to be distributed through a network of computers, making distribution more efficient. In addition, Web3 will also allow for new types of Dapps that could potentially disrupt the current business model of the film industry.

Consumption 🥽

Creative mode view in your favourite movie. Accessibility to people worldwide. Along with new genres being created, the possibilities here are endless. And if they integrate NFTs, you have a direct connection with that project.
