Brainstorming for today was pretty brutal - I felt like I was running out of ideas and Iā€™ve talked about everything in Ecom / DTC so far

Then I took some NZT-48 and Vowalaaaa

A million ideas started flowing but I picked one, CRO hacks to help you boost that conversion

CRO Hacks

Over the years it took me a while to start thinking of CRO from a different perspective

When I used to think of CRO I always looked at website speed, website aesthetics, and things specifically related to the product page

But then my big-brain kicked in and it started piecing together small tricks some of the most dominant brands on the internet use today

Give Your Cart a Boost

Until last year I had never thought about adding unique value props, reviews, or testimonials beyond my product page, then I seen 9 figure brands do it

So of course I had to do it as well.

Adding extra social proof to the checkout process can only help your visitorsā€™ feel more confident during the most crucial step on your website.

This may only be Shopify Plus feature but itā€™s a HUUUUGE advantage to maximize your conversions from ā€œadd to cartā€ to checkout

Decompress your Customer Journey

Hereā€™s a link to one of my top landing pages before you ask, the CVR is 3.8%

Why?

  1. Itā€™s ugly

  2. Thereā€™s no navigation option at the top

  3. It goes straight to checkout

Building this page I debunked my own limiting beliefs of

  1. My landing page has to look cute and impress (me)

  2. I need to have a full navigation menu for people to look around my website

  3. I need to have a cart show

When I look at this page there is sooooo many things I would do differently but Iā€™ve held back because it just wins

So do with this information what you wish, and If you didnā€™t catch on the nuggets read the first 3 lines again!

Hereā€™s a new version of the same landing page that weā€™re testing out

Add A Bit Of Urgency

I havenā€™t tested this out yet but itā€™s on my agenda.

Snow is a 50m+ a year business, available in a lot of retailers around the world and online, and they still use one of the most fundamental tactics in the game

The ugrency meter.

A lot of brands do this wrong by trying to create anxiety and panic for the customer.

Theyā€™re using a positive approach instead of an annoying one, they attached positive feelings by saying ā€œreservingā€ the order.

Creating more of an honest, customer-centric approach.

Thats key.
