Getting ready to blow 100k for some brand awareness campaign and it got me thinking

This would be a good topic so let’s share it with the boyz.

So let’s dive into it.

$100k+ For Brand Awareness

Many of you know NZT-48 is a brand we launched in mid-June since then we have done close to 500k in revenue excluding Amazon.

This was all done with 0 brand awareness all direct advertising as the main sales channel.

Why? Brand awareness is an endless money pit that doesn’t bring instant sales.

To break it down for you, businesses often face an important decision: Brand awareness or direct marketing.

My answer is this: Brand awareness focuses on creating a strong and recognizable brand image. Direct marketing generates immediate sales and conversions.

Think of it this way, brand awareness is a long-term investment that cultivates trust, loyalty, and word-of-mouth referrals. On the other hand, direct marketing is more of a transactional approach where our goal is to drive immediate results like the screenshot I showed above.

So now that the business is cash flow positive with a consistent stream of sales it’s not a bad idea to start building the brand image and work on that long-term strategy.

So we decided to partner with Poker Go

Why? When we plan marketing campaigns we often ask ourselves who the ideal demographic is and how can we speak to them directly.

We listed students, entrepreneurs, traders, lawyers bla bla bla.

Poker Players! Somebody says.

So we did some digging and landed on PokerGo and said F*$K it let’s roll.

Now let me list to you what exactly we get for the 100k.

  1. 10 social media posts across all their platforms (this builds huge credibility and brand awareness)

  2. Full access to their 80,000+ email list for cross-promotion

  3. Tons of strategic content and videos of products placed in the hands of recognized poker players/influencers

  4. Direct access to brand ambassadors

Now when I typed this list it looked too small too but let me you some visuals on just 1 of the events and what we got from it.

What you’re looking at is influencers and NFL players we now have direct access to thanks to this awareness campaign + organic shoutouts and product placements that would taken us weeks to accomplish on our own.

Was it a good idea? As of now it’s too early to tell, this is going to be a 90-day campaign and we haven’t fully rolled it out yet so save this email and come back to it a month from now and we’ll find out together.

Million Dollar Month

The next email is coming on Sunday.

The topic is going to be how I plan to hit $1,000,000 in revenue over the course of September.
