🎥Reading is fun but so it listening.

Back from the weekend, do you know what that means?

Yes! PODCAST! Tune tune and get caught up!

Our new YouTube Video is out on our channel. We went over $200,000,000 in BTC LOST, the best job opportunities in crypto, and we interviewed a project manager who talked about his journey into the NFT space.

If you like the sound of that, watch it here

PS. We’re also on Spotify :)

If you're unfamiliar, open options trades or open interest refers to the number of options contracts (call and put) traded but not squared off with an offsetting position.

📈Bitcoin is on the rise. Here’s our take.

We've got to pump it up 🎶We've got to pump it up 🎶

Crypto prices continue to tick upwards even if recession fears grow. This is what happened in the past week:

  • Bitcoin has risen 19% in July, which is the best month we've had since last year.

  • ETH has risen 10.21% in the past week

  • The global macroeconomic environment worsened, with the US reporting its second quarter of negative growth.

  • Digital assets are still aligning with the stock market.

We are in weird territory at the moment.

Microeconomic factors such as the ETH merge are pumping the markets for the time being, which could make a good time for short-term swings or to cash out some crypto.

Macroeconomic effects, on the other hand, have worsened across the globe. That could make this a short-lived pump if inflation remains high and crypto continues to follow equities.

No matter what side you’re playing, the market will continue to hurt traders who don't plan.

🌴Planting Plays?

Tiffany & Co, one of the biggest names in high end jewelry for decades are launching an NFT collection.

Exclusive to CryptoPunk holders, It will feature 250 limited edition NFTs which will be released on August 5th.

Each holder will be sent a customized chain and pendant based on the CryptoPunk you have with prices starting at 30Ξ($51K).

This is one they created for Alexandre Arnault’s Punk #3167, the executive vice president on products and communication.

Tiffany & Co has been around longer than all of us. So it's safe to say that in doing this, they see a future in NFTs and want to get into this space as fast as they can.

In March they purchased their first NFT from Tom Sachs for $380K and since has been the company's profile picture on twitter. It’s awesome seeing established brands bridging the worlds together. 🌉

Speaking of that:

🎟Ticketmaster is hiring product managers for NFT ticketing. Your opportunity to change Web3?

The biggest ticket resellers in the world are starting to tap into NFTs, posting a job offer that would help them explore new revenue streams.

And with a lot of volume being sucked up (pause), companies have time to look for more use cases beyond jpegs.

A study by big four accounting firm Deloitte highlighted the crypto ecosystem's untapped potential in top new sports industry markets.

"We could see fractional ownership of season tickets and suites and a reinvention of the ticket resale process."

With all the technology's innovation, Ticketmaster has posted a job for a project manager of NFT ticketing. that shows the company's intent to roll out NFT tickets across all entertainment categories such as sports and music.

If you're interested, these are the requirements. 👇

Final Thoughts 🧠

Not only will it make the process of buying and selling more fun. For example, an NBA final NFT ticket can be resold as a collectible that holds value if the game becomes famous. Also would prevent a lot of fake ticket scams from happening.

It will be a HUGE step for NFTs and bringing them to the masses. 🌎

🌱 NewSeeds

Short stories that happened you might have missed.

Two soccer teams transfer a South American Player using USDC.  Crypto is being used as a payment method more frequently. Probably nothing, though. 🤷‍♂️

Hong Kong university will inaugurate a mixed reality classroom in Metaverse. With the rise of online classes, I'm not surprised. 👀

🤔What Vitalik thinks of Meta’s Metaverse

The one and only Vitalik had some thoughts on Twitter about corporate attempts at the Metaverse.

Of course this is only an opinion, so let's end today with a question.

Give us your take on Vitalik's opinion, what do you think?
